Richard Best, a NYC native and Army Veteran, was honored recently in NYC along side his brothers who served in the Vietnam war. Richard is a member of Veterans of New York and also started a Veterans organization called the We Belong Network. The event honoring the service of Vietnam Veterans was held on Tuesday, September 3rd at the Union League Club in midtown Manhattan. It was an excellent event with great people and great food. The event was headlined by guest speaker retired General David Petraeus. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, age 97, also made a surprise appearance. Here are some memorable photos of the event below.

Veterans of New York had a hiking trip planned for August 3rd that unfortunately ended up being cancelled due to the weather. We still got together for a lunch meetup in NYC at Jack Demesey's restaurant. We had a great time making some new friends in the Veterans community over lunch and drinks. The owner of the venue saw that we were a Veterans group and graciously cut our bill in half! Make sure to join us at our next event!
Veterans of New York would like to thank you for connecting with us. Our organization has been around for a little over 3 years. We have finally created a website to go along with our Facebook & LinkedIn group pages. Veterans of New York is a support group for military Veterans who live in New York state. We host social events to help bring the Veteran community together. We are a Veterans organization run 100% by volunteers. We do not collect donations to fund any staff salaries. Below are some photos from our past events. Contact us today to help support the great Veterans of New York!
