Richard Best, a NYC native and Army Veteran, was honored recently in NYC along side his brothers who served in the Vietnam war. Richard is a member of Veterans of New York and also started a Veterans organization called the We Belong Network. The event honoring the service of Vietnam Veterans was held on Tuesday, September 3rd at the Union League Club in midtown Manhattan. It was an excellent event with great people and great food. The event was headlined by guest speaker retired General David Petraeus. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, age 97, also made a surprise appearance. Here are some memorable photos of the event below.

I admire and respect the men and women, who put forth exemplary efforts to acknowledge the veterans that have given their time and or lives to serve their country. My husband is one of the servicemen who fought in Vietnam and is a disabled veteran that is still involved with his former servicemen and is a member of veteran organizations. It is phenomenal to see these pictures of pride and unity among those who have served their country and everyone who has contributed to this organization. Peace be with them living and those who have preceded us in death. You are loved!
